Soooo this is how I felt this morning when I woke up! Large and NOT so in charge! I just spent the weekend in Houston, TX with a skinny friend eating, enjoying an Astros game, and laying by the pool. I woke knowing I really need to get in a serious diet plan for losing weight and a serious exercise schedule! Remember this post, Woes of the Big 4-0!, well I have to do more than skip the fast food restaurants. It's just not going to fall off without some exercise. {Dang it!}
I immediately thought of my dear friend Jillian Michaels. Nahhh, I've never met her, she actually scares me cuz I know she would tear me up, and she would have a heart attack if she saw what was in my pantry! I do have her video, 30 Day Shred, which is awesome!! {This isn't my 1st rodeo! I have to be honest here. Exercise videos work IF you actually pull them out & use them! Consistency is the key which is what I am aiming for seriously, seriously this time!}
So I got moving this morning! Ate a fat free yogurt and put on my workout clothes. Spent a sweaty 20 minutes with Jillian and then sat down to write my exercise schedule for weight loss. Part of this plan was to create a personal progress chart to keep me accountable. {I can email it to you! Just leave me a comment below!} The chart begins with my beginning weight and measurements {ugh!!} and a place to write in these numbers weekly. I also have a BMI chart that I used to look up my current weight & discovered I am now in the OVERWEIGHT area!! I have NEVER in my life been there!!! The next part of my diet and exercise plan is as follows:
- Write down EVERYTHING I put into my mouth daily!!
- Exercise on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays with Jillian and the 30 Day Shred video.
- Exercise on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays by taking a brisk 20-30 minute walk.
- Play tennis for an hour weekly on Wednesdays.
- Research my daily caloric intake to lose weight safely and successfully.
- Begin changing the eating habits I see trending in my daily journal.
- Stay accountable via my eating journal, personal progress chart, and BLOGGING my results!

You go girl! Moving the body is so hard. I want the Biggest Loser that goes with the Xbox Kinect. I think I have the Jillian dvd but I don't believe I've actually done it. (bad me) I've been doing the couch to 5K program in an iphone app. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI have to commend you with this burst of empowering energy. Way to go, sitting down and putting together a plan. I'm a list person and a planner, so I would totally do the exact same thing. In fact, I'd love to see your planner. My e-mail is attached to my comment I'm pretty sure.
